The idea was simple - create a spirited organization which would unite a group of people that share one common interest: a Love for Tarleton State University! Our founders jumped on a small window of opportunity for a new type of spirit organization. One that was different from the established, celebrated and well-respected stables (Purple Poo and Plowboys). One that could focus on all aspects of Tarleton's rich traditions and encapsulate that in a spirit that could be seen and heard. One that could promote spirit and celebrate tradition while supporting the Tarleton student community in a new and different way. People Against Not Knowing University Spirit was that Idea.
The founders already had a background in many fraternal and club organizations from around campus. They set out to build an organization in which the only commitment a student makes is to the school, it's history and spirit. The focus would be on supporting all aspects of TSU student involvement; not just sporting events. This was the new and different way! The founders would create a way to unite people of any backgrounds, all interest and put them together in a group to share one voice, one thought - Bleed Purple.
